HTG-UK staff will always go above and beyond for the Community
The HCP had asked if HTG-UK would agree to visit a local Scouts group, providing an Ambulance for some young budding cubs to have a look at, and to be able to talk to a crew member about what we do in the Community.
-Christchurch Scouts Club-
Scouting has been taking place in the Christchurch District since 1908, providing fun, friendship and adventure for around 600 young people.
The Christchurch District was formed in 1909 and officially recognised by the then Imperial Headquarters in 1910.
Today, the Club hosts groups from age 4 years to 14 years - comprising of Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.
The Cubs are between 8-10 1/2 years old.
The visit was arranged promptly and scheduled for a crew to do an evening visit for the cubs to enjoy.
The crew member who volunteered to help and gave his time to ‘entertain’ the cubs was Jamie Peirce of Dorset baseseen in the cab in one of the pictures.
All of the cubs had a great time learning about Ambulances and what equipment they have on board, and obviously tried some of it out!
Many thanks to Jamie for his time, and Matthew for instigating the event.
