We are pleased to share the appointment of Simon Hey, to the role of Operations Director, joining us in early September 2025
Simon comes with a wealth of experience across the NHS, NHS Commissioning, and healthcare service delivery.
Career highlights include:
- Senior Commissioning Manager, NHS Herts and West Essex ICB leading strategic and operational management of the planned and primary care programmes.
- Deputy Head for NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) & Children and Young People Continuing Care (CYPCC) Commissioning.
- Programme Manager for the Incident Control Centre (ICC) – overseeing the Covid vaccination initiative.
- Over 10 years at Millbrook Healthcare, most recently as National Operational Support Manager.
Simon will join us as Operations Director to lead our patient transport operations, covering both non-emergency and mental health transport across all our NHS contracts.
Reporting directly to Neil Berry, in his new role as CEO, Simon will also join the Executive Board, contributing to the strategic direction and future of HTG-UK.
As part of the role Simon will lead a team comprising of all our patient transport operations, including Paul Mockett, Head of Operations and Jessica Davies, Mental Health Operations Manager.
