Gemma Wilkes has been supporting Alison Clark as the Deputy Contracts Manager for Mid & South Essex since December 2024.
Initially, she was appointed to deputise when Alison was committed to supporting the Norfolk & Waveney contract.
As Gemma has been doing such a positive job liaising with the Mid Essex and South Essex ICB’s and keeping the Canvey, Chelmsford and Southend Stations on track and informed, it has been decided that she will now take on the Contract Manager Role fully.
Alison Clark remains the Regional Contract Manager and will be involved in the onboarding of the new Suffolk & North-East Essex Contract due in April 2026.
Nigel Briggs, Head of Operations said, “Gemma has such a positive attitude to the role and has built up great relationships with the Contract ICB’s and staff, within a short time frame, that it makes sense to move her into the contract manger role, to allow Alison to focus on the newer contract development.
Gemma said, “I am super happy and thankful to be given this opportunity as Contract Manager for Essex and am determined to continue applying hard work and dedication into the role to carry on guiding the team in the right direction.
